As a Data Scientist, you will join the Pulsar team alongside three other data scientists.

Responsibilities

Veepee develops advanced forecasting and pricing algorithms, which are strategic priorities for the company. Your internship will focus on improving the accuracy of our pricing and forecasting models by working on cross-cutting features. There are many promising research directions for improving our machine-learning algorithms, including product attributes (such as normalizing sizes and colors and dimensionality reduction using associated purchases), brand representations based on users' purchase histories, and product representations based on descriptions and images. Working closely with the forecasting and pricing team, you will explore, develop prototypes, and compare different advanced modeling approaches. Your work will be assessed using clear key performance indicators (KPIs) through rigorous offline evaluations on large datasets. Once a model demonstrates strong performance, you may deploy it in our cloud MLOps environment (Kubernetes, Docker, Airflow, MLflow, GitLab, etc.).

Requirements

Master's degree (Bac+5) in data science. Strong Python skills. Proficiency in SQL. Good understanding of machine learning (ML evaluation, classification, regression, etc.). Interest in software-engineering best practices. Advantage: knowledge of dbt, Git, Docker, or Kubernetes. Excellent communication skills in French and English. Ability to identify, analyze, and solve problems. Autonomy, curiosity, and willingness to put solutions into production. Eagerness to learn new technologies and scientific approaches.
