Full-time

Job description

As one of Europe’s leading management and technology consultancies, we are a true technology player. We see ourselves as thought leaders: we act and think strategically, develop tailored solutions and precise processes with our clients, and implement innovative technologies. We have more than 50,000 tech-minded, smart people worldwide; together, we shape the future for our clients and society.

Are you ready to help shape digital Europe?

Exciting, challenging AI projects for our public-sector clients.

Design and develop generative AI solutions that provide interactive access to internal knowledge sources, particularly using Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), open-source LLMs, chatbots, and intelligent assistance systems.

Integrate and orchestrate language models, agents, and internal data sources into scalable systems.

Work closely in agile, multidisciplinary teams of Data Scientists, developers, and subject-matter experts.

Advise public-sector clients as a partner throughout the entire project lifecycle, including consideration of data protection requirements, regulatory frameworks, and the safe use of generative models.

Take responsibility for quality and project success and actively help develop our consulting portfolio.

Consulting requires flexibility: assignments depend on our clients and project situation; you will work across Germany in our offices, at client sites, and from home.

A successfully completed degree in computer science, business informatics, mathematics, statistics, or a comparable field.

At least 3 years of professional experience implementing AI projects focused on NLP, ideally in consulting or the public sector; including at least 1 year of experience in Generative AI.

Strong experience developing GenAI solutions focused on Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), chatbots, and AI agents, including prompt engineering and evaluation of LLM-based systems.

Confident use of relevant open-source frameworks such as Transformers, LangChain, LangGraph, LlamaIndex, and Haystack, as well as vector databases (e.g. Qdrant, ChromaDB, Weaviate).

Very good Python programming skills; knowledge of other languages such as Java is a plus.

Experience with MLOps practices or CI/CD for AI-based applications is preferred.

Knowledge of areas such as fine-tuning language models and using graph databases in GenAI contexts is preferred.

Ability to communicate complex technical topics in a structured, audience-appropriate way, especially in larger organizations or public institutions.

Very good German (C1 or above) and English skills.

Professional development: extensive technical and methodology training, including certifications, and varied development opportunities within the company.

Work-life balance: hybrid work within Germany and, for a limited period, in designated EU countries; family services; corporate fitness; and the option of a sabbatical.

Flexible vacation: 30 days of annual leave, with the option to increase or decrease this by up to 5 days.

SpenditCard: In addition to your salary, you receive €50 per month in tax-free credit, which you can use flexibly at nearby shops.

IT equipment: We help provide additional equipment needed for optimal location-flexible work.

Mobility: company car and company bicycle through salary conversion, plus a subsidy for the Deutschlandticket.

Our mindset: team spirit, open doors, an informal culture, and diversity in practice.

Diversity is an important foundation of our corporate culture. We want to create an inclusive environment that reflects the diversity of all 2,700 employees in Germany and Austria and enables you to thrive. At Sopra Steria, we believe your individuality is key to sustainable business success.

We are committed to a sustainable future. Through group-wide scholarships and corporate volunteering programs, and projects promoting education, equal opportunity, and digital inclusion, we take responsibility for society. We believe digital innovation is key to equality, inclusion, and climate protection.
