Defense & Security Business Unit
Protect territories, anticipate threats.
Our Defense & Security Business Unit is at the heart of national sovereignty challenges. With more than 840 employees across the country, it designs critical systems for the army and civil aviation. Our teams work on high-value-added projects: tactical data links, counter-drone warfare, maritime surveillance, simulation and training, air security. Thanks to our expertise and our involvement in international programs, we actively contribute to the security of territories.

We are looking for an Agentic AI Engineer to join our teams and contribute to the design, prototyping and integration of new capabilities based on LLMs and AI agent systems.
You will work on concrete challenges of integrating AI into complex systems: use of heterogeneous data, intelligent assistants, agent orchestration, use of tools and APIs, interaction with existing systems and decision support.
The goal is to go beyond a simple chatbot to develop agents capable of reasoning about a context, using tools, interacting with software services and chaining several tasks in a controlled manner.
You will be involved across the entire chain, from experimentation to integration into demonstrators and products.
Your missions
🔹 Main activities
Design of agentic AI systems
Design and develop AI agents based on LLMs.
Design single-agent and multi-agent architectures.
Define the roles, tools, contexts and orchestration mechanisms of agents.
Implement tool calling mechanisms, API use and interaction with external services.
Design agentic workflows enabling the chaining of several tasks and tools.
Develop mechanisms for controlling and validating actions proposed or executed by agents.
LLMs, RAG and data exploitation
Integrate and experiment with different Large Language Models (LLMs).
Design RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) architectures.
Implement indexing, semantic search and data vectorization mechanisms.
Use structured and unstructured data sources: documents, databases, APIs, technical logs and data from systems.
Work on context management, memory and selection of relevant information.
Design methods to improve the relevance and reliability of generated responses.
Software development and integration
Develop the software components required for integrating AI agents.
Connect agents to existing APIs, services, databases and applications.
Design interfaces enabling interaction between LLMs and business systems.
Develop mainly in Python.
Participate in integrating AI components into existing software architectures.
Work in Linux, containerized and distributed environments.
Prototyping and demonstrators
Identify relevant use cases for agentic AI.
Rapidly produce Proof of Concept (PoC) to evaluate their value.
Transform relevant prototypes into operational demonstrators.
Participate in internal or client demonstrations.
Collect user feedback and evolve solutions.
Contribute to moving from prototype to an integrable and maintainable solution.
Evaluation and control of AI systems
Define scenarios and test sets to evaluate agent performance.
Evaluate the relevance, robustness and reproducibility of responses and actions.
Identify and analyze undesirable LLM behaviors.
Implement guardrails, input/output control and validation mechanisms.
Ensure traceability of decisions and actions carried out by agents when the architecture allows it.
Participate in cybersecurity and data control issues associated with AI solutions.
🔹 Secondary activities
Participate in the deployment and industrialization of AI components.
Containerize the applications and components developed.
Participate in setting up test and deployment pipelines.
Set up logging, monitoring and observability mechanisms.
Measure performance, response times and resource consumption.
Contribute to continuous improvement of the architectures and models used.
Technology watch
Maintain active technology watch in the following areas:
generative AI;
agentic AI;
LLMs;
RAG;
multimodal models;
multi-agent architectures;
open source models;
agent orchestration tools and frameworks.
Evaluate new models and technologies through concrete experiments.
Share results with technical teams.
Participate in defining technology directions around AI.
With a Bac+5 education, engineering school or Master's degree in computer science, artificial intelligence, data science or a related field, you have a first significant experience in software development or AI.
Specific experience in agentic AI is a plus, but above all we are looking for a profile with solid fundamentals in software development (Python) and AI, with a strong ability to experiment.
