You join Sopra Steria's Business Automation Center of Excellence. The team supports its clients in discovering, optimizing, orchestrating and automating their business processes, from idea to deployment and maintenance in operational conditions.
Our activities cover several complementary dimensions:
automation of tasks and interfaces through RPA and APIs;
end-to-end process orchestration with BPM and workflows;
process analysis and improvement through Process Mining and Task Mining;
intelligent processing of documents and unstructured data;
agentic AI, human supervision and orchestration of agents, robots and business applications.
Your role and missions:
Integrated into a multidisciplinary team and supported by an experienced mentor, you contribute to the realization of a Business Automation use case or demonstrator addressing a concrete business need. The specific topic will be adapted to current opportunities and your profile.
Understand a business process, its actors, its pain points, its rules and its data.
Model the existing operation and propose a simplified, automated and measurable target.
Design a solution combining, as appropriate, robots, workflows, APIs, document processing, AI and human interventions.
Develop a prototype or a minimum viable product, then improve it through short iterations.
Define test scenarios, verify the quality of results and handle exception cases.
Integrate security, traceability, auditability and data protection requirements from the design stage.
Document the architecture, design choices, operation and operating conditions.
Present the results, the value delivered, the limitations and the prospects for industrialization.
Technological and methodological environment:
Automation: UiPath, UI and API automation, orchestration, work queues, supervision
Process: Camunda, BPMN 2.0, workflows, human tasks, rules and events
Process intelligence: Process Mining, Task Mining, data analysis and performance indicators
AI & documents: LLM, RAG, document extraction, classification, agents and Human in the Loop
Development: Python, JavaScript or C#, REST API, Git, tests and CI/CD depending on the topic
Methods: Agile, iterative design, documentation, security and quality by design
Your profile:
You are looking for a 4- to 6-month internship and want to work on issues combining technology, business processes and operational value.
You have solid development fundamentals and understand the principles of APIs, data and application architectures.
You are curious, rigorous, autonomous and comfortable analyzing a problem before proposing a solution.
You enjoy teamwork, clear documentation and presenting your results.
A first experience in RPA, BPMN, generative AI, Process Mining or document processing is a plus, without being essential.
Student in the final year of an engineering school, Master 2 in computer science, data, AI, software engineering or equivalent training.
