Reporting to the Senior Director, SAP PI and Innovation, and aligned with the Vice President of Delivery for assignments, the SAP BTP and AI Solutions Architect defines the technical architecture of solutions built on SAP Business Technology Platform, including their AI layer.

You design solutions that are feasible, secure, operable, and take consumption costs into account. You guide developers, address concerns raised by client security and technology teams, and remain hands-on with code and runtime decisions.

Your responsibilities:

Leadership, vision, and initiative: define the architecture for SAP BTP and AI scopes, establish development standards, and review the work of BTP and AI orchestration developers.

Maintain the practice’s reference architectures, reusable patterns, and technical accelerators.

Technical and functional expertise: design subaccount and environment topology; choose between Cloud Foundry and Kyma; design HANA Cloud persistence, identity, permissions, and connectivity.

Architect SAP Business AI solutions using AI Core, AI Launchpad, generative AI hub, grounding, search, and Joule extensibility.

Problem-solving and analytical thinking: design SAP and non-SAP integrations, including API management, events, monitoring, error handling, and support-friendly recovery.

Resolve technical escalations during development, testing, production launch, and stabilization.

Consulting acumen: estimate effort, complexity, environments, licenses, and consumption, and explain the financial implications of SAP BTP commercial models to stakeholders.

Knowledge sharing: mentor BTP and AI developers, lead internal sessions, and track SAP capabilities as they are actually delivered to guide client adoption.

Qualifications

Experience: at least 10 years in SAP or enterprise integration, including at least 4 years building on SAP BTP.

BTP delivery: have delivered at least 3 SAP BTP solutions to production and be able to explain lessons learned from operating them.

CAP and integration expertise: at least 4 years with CAP in Node.js or Java and 3 years with SAP Integration Suite, including API Management and Event Mesh.

AI and platform expertise: at least 2 years with SAP Business AI, plus hands-on experience with Cloud Foundry, Kyma, HANA Cloud, XSUAA, IAS, IPS, role collections, and principal propagation.

Education: bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, information technology, or a related field.

Conditions: remote position in Canada, with travel to clients in North America approximately 20% to 30% of the time.

Communication: good spoken and written French and English skills, including to communicate with clients located throughout North America.
