Job description
Contribute to major transformations in businesses and public-sector organizations by combining technological innovation with business expertise, serving our clients and society and helping them move forward sustainably. Beyond corporate social responsibility, we have developed our own RESET approach, encompassing our economic, social, environmental, and technological commitments both within our community and for our clients. Onepoint is an inclusive, disability-friendly company with a strong diversity policy.
Team and context
You will join a team of data science consultants specializing in generative AI, working on staff-augmentation or fixed-price engagements for clients across all sectors. The team designs and implements a wide variety of use cases, from scoping through industrialization, with a strong focus on technical quality, business value, and production deployment.
We seek people who combine technical ability and maturity with a strong consulting mindset: the ability to explain clearly, teach, work collaboratively, operate independently, and communicate comfortably with varied stakeholders (business, IT, data, and leadership). We also expect you to confidently recommend and advocate for technical choices, delivery approaches, and industrialization plans.
Your responsibilities
Design and build AI and generative AI solutions
- Initially scope suitable solutions for business challenges and translate needs into concrete technical options.
- Design and develop custom AI/GenAI solutions for complex use cases, taking a hands-on approach.
- Use and master frameworks, tools, and components from the GenAI ecosystem and cloud providers.
- Prototype quickly, then evolve solutions into robust, maintainable, industrialized architectures.
- Work on industrial-scale use cases with requirements for performance, security, observability, and quality.
Technical leadership and delivery quality
- Act as technical authority for data science and generative AI topics within project teams.
- Guide technical choices, challenge options, and secure architecture and implementation decisions.
- Technically supervise development (code reviews, standards, best practices, software quality).
- Help teams balance prototyping speed, robustness, cost, and scalability.
- Help structure reusable delivery approaches, patterns, and assets.
Industrialization and production deployment
- Design data/AI pipelines suited to production environments.
- Contribute to production deployment and industrialization of GenAI solutions (MLOps / LLMOps).
- Integrate solutions into clients’ information systems and cloud environments.
- Contribute to best practices for operations, monitoring, evaluation, and continuous improvement.
Consulting and stakeholder support
- Work with business, data, technical, and executive stakeholders to qualify needs and guide choices.
- Explain complex technical topics and make trade-offs understandable.
- Bring a pragmatic perspective on value, feasibility, risk, and scaling.
- Persuade stakeholders about implementation paths and technical priorities.
- Work in multidisciplinary teams with a cooperative, co-creative approach.
Knowledge sharing and skills development
- Develop the team’s skills through sharing practices, lessons learned, and mentoring.
- Support junior and intermediate colleagues in developing technical skills and independence.
- Share knowledge with clients through awareness sessions, teaching, and support.
- Structure and share reusable approaches, standards, and assets.
Required skills
You have at least 6 years of confirmed experience in similar assignments.
Technical skills
- Mastery of core AI and generative AI concepts and components: data science, algorithms, machine learning, embeddings, vectorization, chunking, retrieval, reranking, and prompt/workflow orchestration.
- Extensive experience with RAG architectures and production-oriented use cases, with strong command of industrialization and production deployment (software quality, testing, monitoring, CI/CD, MLOps/LLMOps).
- Ability to develop custom end-to-end solutions, from prototype to deployment, and ensure their technical robustness.
- Experience in cloud environments (architecture, managed services, deployment, security, scalability).
- Ability to scope, compare, and guide technical choices for complex GenAI topics (performance, cost, maintainability, scalability).
Consulting skills and approach
- Excellent ability to explain and teach.
- Consulting approach: listen, restate, focus on value, and constructively challenge.
- Ability to make proposals and persuade teams and clients.
- Strong interpersonal skills with varied stakeholders (business, IT, data, leadership).
- Enjoy teamwork; collaborative and community-minded.
- Independent and responsible while working as part of a team.
- Professional maturity and technical leadership suited to a tech lead role in a consulting environment.
Recruitment process
- HR conversation about your goals and motivations, plus an introduction to the company (30 minutes, phone or Teams).
- Conversation with an operational team member about your expertise (1 hour, Teams or in person).
- Conversation with a Leader about your motivations, working style, and our values (1 hour, Teams or in person).
- Conversation with a Partner to discuss your prospective role at Onepoint (1 hour, in person).
