Job description
Ekimetrics is a global leader in marketing and commercial effectiveness and large-scale AI solutions. Since 2006, we have helped companies optimize marketing and operations by combining AI with business and technology expertise across four areas: marketing and commercial effectiveness, customer analytics, operational excellence, and AI for sustainability.
With a fully in-house team and offices in Paris, London, New York, Hong Kong, and Shanghai, we design tailored solutions that turn data into concrete positive impact through a unique combination of technology and services. Our strength is deploying impactful AI at scale. Our mission is to put that power to work on the most urgent challenges of our time. We are committed to responsible, resource-efficient AI, lasting impact at scale, and our values and DNA.
About the role
Ekimetrics seeks a Senior Engineering Manager who embodies technical excellence, innovation, and strategic vision. This role is central to our custom-solution development offering and ensures technical quality and reliability, along with architectural and technology coherence. You will be a technical authority, a close partner to the leader of custom Data & AI solution development, and an aspirational example for teams. You are known for navigating the full Data & AI value chain, from full stack through industrialization of advanced models.
Key responsibilities
Strategic leadership and vision: co-create Data & AI visions with client executives; translate these into technology roadmaps, target architectures, and implementation strategies; align business priorities, technical constraints, and measurable value.
Technical expertise and architecture ownership: serve as technical authority on projects, guiding stack choices, architecture design, best practices, scalability, and security. Oversee custom solutions including data pipelines, cloud platforms, AI models, APIs, middleware, and MLOps. Ensure technical consistency through upgrades, maintenance, performance, and operational robustness. Lead end-to-end projects spanning data engineering, AI, deployment, monitoring, adoption, and web development.
End-to-end solution delivery: lead multidisciplinary teams to design, build, and deploy Data & AI solutions from start to finish. Master cloud environments (Azure, AWS, GCP) and modern platforms (Databricks, Snowflake). Ensure delivered solutions are technically sound, performant, and reliable.
Innovation and market connection: stay at the forefront of new algorithms, frameworks, architectures, AI/ML tools, and Databricks/Snowflake innovations. Maintain a clear view of market trends and best practices. Inspire teams and clients as a recognized expert connected to the ecosystem.
Team structure and leadership: help scale the custom-build function. Partner closely with the internal Head of Custom Build as technical right hand. Lead, coach, and develop Data Engineers, ML Engineers, developers, and Data Scientists. Build a culture of innovation, technical excellence, and reliable delivery.
Candidate profile
8–12 years of Data/AI experience, including a Head of Data & AI, Forward Deployed Engineer, or equivalent role. Experience leading multidisciplinary teams. Proven leadership of complex AI projects from design through production. Mastery of data, middleware, and AI stacks and modern cloud architectures. Strong technical curiosity and ability to anticipate trends. Ability to propose innovative, pragmatic approaches. Confidence with executives and skill translating business needs into Data/AI solutions. An ambitious, dynamic profile able to embody Ekimetrics’ modern technology vision.
