Job description

Companies that perform well make better decisions. Since 2006, Ekimetrics has helped organizations turn decisions into sustainable competitive advantage through AI. Our dual ambition is to combine performance and sustainability to build lasting leadership. Our solutions uniquely combine people and technology. Eki.Decisions complements our teams’ expertise in marketing, commercial effectiveness, and Data Science to connect AI with decisions that shape the whole organization. With a fully in-house team and offices in Paris, London, New York, Hong Kong, and Shanghai, we are committed to responsible, frugal AI, sustained competitive advantage, and our values and DNA.

Your mission

Within Research & Product Development, Platform Engineering designs and operates the infrastructure, tools, and core services that let our Data & AI products run reliably, scalably, and securely. At the intersection of Cloud Engineering, DevOps, security, and developer experience, you will work across the application lifecycle: infrastructure design, production operations, automation, monitoring, and continuous improvement. We seek a Senior DevOps Engineer to play a leading role in evolving our platform, contribute expertise to robust architecture and technical standards, and help develop the team’s capabilities.

Your role on the team

As a Cloud Engineering expert and technical reference for Platform Engineering, lead architecture initiatives, propose structural improvements, ensure reliable and scalable environments, and help build the team’s technical culture.

Infrastructure and Cloud Engineering

Design and guide cloud-architecture evolution across Azure, GCP, and AWS, including technical choices, infrastructure patterns, and governance. Define and maintain Terraform infrastructure-as-code standards and promote good practice. Evolve data and application components while ensuring availability, performance, and scalability.

Automation

Define and evolve platform CI/CD architecture, standards, deployment patterns, and GitOps strategies. Identify high-impact automation opportunities and lead them end to end. Continuously challenge and improve infrastructure-as-code, release-management, and delivery practices. Help define the platform technical roadmap with the Lead Platform Engineer.

Reliability, security, and observability

Define and lead platform IAM strategy: RBAC models, access policies, least privilege, and identity/secret governance (Vault or equivalent). Design and operate identity federation using Keycloak, OIDC/OAuth2/SAML, and cloud integrations (Azure Entra ID, GCP IAM). Lead major-incident management, facilitate postmortems, and structure remediation plans. Design and maintain a strong security posture with dedicated internal teams.

Collaboration and developer experience

Promote Platform Engineering practices through technical reviews, knowledge-sharing, and mentoring.

How we work

Our products are designed and developed from our offices, enabling sustained collaboration and shared practices. Remote work remains possible, though we enjoy having the team together. We work in agile cycles with discovery (understanding needs, constraints, and target architectures) and delivery (implementation, deployment, and continuous improvement). Platform Engineering is involved throughout, from solution design to production operations. Reporting to a Lead Platform Engineer, you will join a friendly, supportive seven-person platform team at the forefront of Ekimetrics’ technology.

Our technology stack

Cloud and infrastructure: GCP, Azure, AWS, Databricks, DataFactory, Kubernetes, Docker, ArgoCD, Helm, Nginx, Terraform. Data and applications: PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Spark, Redis, Python, FastAPI, RabbitMQ, Airbyte. Observability and security: New Relic, Keycloak, Cloudflare. Cross-functional tools: GitHub, JIRA, Figma.

Your profile

Engineering-school or equivalent university degree, or significant equivalent experience. At least 3 years in Platform or Cloud Engineering, including substantial large-scale production experience. Strong Terraform expertise and natural advocacy for infrastructure-as-code practices. Proven Azure expertise and operational proficiency in at least one other cloud (GCP or AWS). Significant experience designing and operating production IAM, including identity federation (Keycloak or equivalent), OIDC, OAuth2, SAML, and multi-environment integration. Strong cloud-security practices: secret management (Vault or equivalent), cloud IAM policies (Azure Entra ID, GCP IAM), Kubernetes RBAC, and network segmentation. Independent, impact-oriented, and comfortable in an international, multi-project environment. Good written and spoken French and English.

Nice to have

Multi-cloud production experience (Azure with GCP or AWS). Experience designing or running an Internal Developer Platform (Backstage). Deep Kubernetes expertise in architecture, security, resource optimization, multi-tenancy, and production operations. Reliability-engineering experience such as advanced observability, incident management, or chaos engineering. Experience using GenAI tools to automate workflows or interact with other platforms through MCPs. Experience in B2B SaaS or a fast-growing technology scale-up. Cloud security or IAM certification (Azure Security Engineer Associate, Certified Kubernetes Security Specialist/CKS, or equivalent). Familiarity with Databricks products.
