NEXTON is hiring a full-time Senior Data Engineer in Paris.

Your future work environment

You will join the Data Engineering – Europe Zone team under the Head of Data Engineering. You will take technical ownership of key components of the Consumer Data Hub (CDH), a unified consumer data platform spanning more than 10 countries and tens of millions of profiles. This platform directly supports marketing activation, advanced analytics, forecasting, and agentic AI capabilities.

As a senior individual contributor, you will design robust systems, write production-grade code, and work with multidisciplinary stakeholders to turn complex business needs into scalable solutions.

Responsibilities

Technical design and architecture

  • Contribute to the CDH platform’s architecture, technical direction, and long-term vision.
  • Maintain technical consistency across components and identify and resolve performance, scalability, and technical-debt issues.

Development and industrialization

  • Develop production code in Python, SQL, and dbt.
  • Establish and ensure data-quality standards and monitoring and observability practices.
  • Deploy and maintain CI/CD pipelines, containers (Docker, Kubernetes), and orchestration (Airflow).
  • Ensure strict compliance with data regulations, especially GDPR.

Innovation and modeling

  • Contribute to emerging methods such as AI-assisted Spec-Driven Development and extend our agentic AI stack (Cortex, LangGraph, Phoenix, etc.).
  • Design and evolve data modeling (star schemas, dimensional modeling).

Deliverables

  • Technical specifications and design documents.
  • Application components, data pipelines, and production-quality dbt/Python packages.
  • Optimized data models compliant with governance/GDPR rules.
  • CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code scripts (Terraform).
  • Test suites, observability metrics, and data-quality monitoring dashboards.

Experience

At least 7 years of Data Engineering experience, with strong expertise managing complex data platforms.

Required technical skills

  • Essential expertise in SQL, Python, and dbt.
  • Proven production experience with Snowflake and Azure Cloud services.
  • Strong data-modeling skills (star schema, dimensional modeling).
  • Experience with CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions), containers (Docker, Kubernetes), orchestration (Airflow), and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform).
  • Proficiency in observability (Grafana stack) and data regulations (GDPR).
  • Fluent English (C1/C2) for an international setting.
