NEXTON is hiring a full-time Data Engineer in Valbonne (06).

Your future work environment

We are looking for a Data Engineer to strengthen one of our clients’ teams. You will join a new project team in the Marketing & Customer Data domain to design and develop a decision-support platform and personalization component that feed Machine Learning models, in an Agile, international environment.

Your responsibilities

Data-pipeline development and optimization: design and build the central data platform and strengthen ingestion flows (Google Tag Manager, Shopping Data Hub) to efficiently feed recommendation and personalization models.

Architecture, DevOps, and quality: manage cloud infrastructure through Terraform, deploy CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions, and configure Kafka streaming flows.

Documentation and international collaboration: write internal technical documentation and work daily in English with product, technical, and business teams based in France and abroad.

Qualifications

• Higher education degree (BAC+5 or equivalent) and at least 3 years of proven Data Engineer experience.
• Fluent English required (C1 minimum) to lead and participate in daily meetings, technical discussions, and documentation in an international environment.

Required technical skills

• GCP proficiency: strong experience with BigQuery, Bigtable, Dataproc, and Dataflow.
• Development: confirmed Java and Python experience.
• DevOps and streaming: proficiency with Terraform, GitHub Actions, and Kafka configuration.
• Independent end-to-end ownership, proactive approach, and analytical mindset for complex needs.
