YOUR ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Within AXA France’s Data & AI Office, the AI / GenAI Factory turns this ambition into real products. It designs, industrializes, and operates machine-learning, generative AI, and agentic AI solutions from ideation through production and monitoring.

Based in Nanterre or Wasquehal, you will join a team of AI Engineers, Data Scientists, and ML Engineers. Together, you will build robust, secure AI products that can operate at scale.

Your future role

As Tech Lead AI Engineer, you will set the squad’s technical direction and play a key role in industrializing AXA France’s AI products. You will work on strategic, high-impact business projects and help build the technology foundations for future generative and agentic AI use cases.

Technical leadership

• Own the technical vision and architecture choices for AI projects.
• Support the squad from the initial requirements phase.
• Ensure code, testing, and documentation quality.
• Help the team grow through coaching, knowledge sharing, and code reviews.
• Find the right balance between innovation, performance, and delivery speed.

Industrialization and MLOps

• Design and industrialize machine-learning, generative AI, and agentic AI solutions.
• Automate deployment, production rollout, and solution monitoring.
• Ensure solutions are reliable, scalable, maintainable, and cost-controlled.
• Define, apply, and evolve MLOps practices.
• Develop reusable components to accelerate future projects.

Platforms and agentic AI

• Help build the technology foundations of the AI / GenAI Factory.
• Securely integrate AI solutions into AXA France’s ecosystem.
• Contribute to defining AI Engineering and architecture standards.
• Build the foundations for AXA France’s future agentic platforms in coordination with Group initiatives.
• Ensure solution security, governance, and interoperability.

Business partnership

• Work with domain leaders to identify the highest-value use cases.
• Turn complex business needs into concrete, industrializable AI products.
• Contribute to defining Data & AI roadmaps.
• Measure the impact of deployed solutions and support continuous improvement.

Community and visibility

• Participate actively in AI Engineering and MLOps communities of practice.
• Share standards, assets, and lessons learned.
• Keep up with technology developments.
• Promote the team’s work through articles, conferences, meetups, and technical presentations.

What you bring

• Significant experience as a technical lead industrializing AI and machine-learning solutions in production.
• Strong software-engineering culture and good understanding of data science and AI challenges.
• Excellent Python skills and knowledge of modern development practices.
• A software-craftsmanship approach based on Clean Code, TDD, BDD, code reviews, and continuous improvement.
• Expertise in modern software architectures and design patterns.
• Experience with cloud environments and MLOps / LLMOps practices.
• Strong knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, and AI industrialization platforms.
• Active participation in Data, AI, or software-engineering communities.
• Willingness to share knowledge through conferences, meetups, brown-bag lunches, technical articles, and community events.

What will set you apart

• Experience with complex, large-scale information systems, ideally in insurance, banking, or financial services.
• Azure experience, especially Azure Machine Learning.
• Open Source or Inner Source contributions.
• Knowledge of distributed-processing technologies, especially Spark.
• Experience with generative AI architectures, agentic AI, or LLMOps.
• Awareness of responsible AI, governance, and trust in AI systems.
