An internship titled “Artificial Intelligence and Digital Workplace Product Developer” is available at Airbus Defence and Space at its Toulouse-Palays site. You will join the Space Ground Segment Engineering department, which is accelerating the department’s digital transformation by making its operational repository of engineering processes and methods more fluid, intuitive, and intelligent.
The six-month internship combines software/AI engineering, application and web design, and business-process engineering (BPMN). You will develop an intelligent document assistant and an advanced search tool while modeling the department’s operational processes. Main responsibilities
- Design and deploy an AI document assistant (chatbot): design, configure, and train a secure LLM conversational agent; create a scientific evaluation framework for its performance; and support change management.
- Develop an advanced search tool (Google Sites): design a modern, user-centered UI/UX; manage testing; document code and architecture; and create user guides.
- Model processes: conduct operational interviews, translate workflows into interactive BPMN models, and connect them to the AI assistant and search tool.
Your supervisor will support you throughout the internship, helping develop your skills and achieve your professional goals.
Skills you will develop
- Applied AI engineering (prompt configuration/optimization, LLM evaluation, and AI monitoring).
- Functional analysis and operational processes (engineering and BPMN modeling).
- Change management in an industrial environment.
Your boarding pass for this journey
- In the final year of a Bac+5 degree (Master 2, engineering school, or equivalent) in computer science, data science, systems engineering, or a related field.
- Preferred technical skills: AI engineering (prompt engineering, LLM/RAG integration); web and application design (JavaScript, search-tool integration, advanced Google Workspace/Google Sites); theoretical or practical knowledge of BPMN.
- Personal skills: excellent interpersonal and communication skills; rigorous methods, thorough documentation, and traceability; creativity, independence, and problem-solving in a complex environment.
- Languages: negotiation-level English and fluent French.
