Senior SAP Technical Architect

Job description

We are currently seeking a Senior SAP Technical Architect to join our SAP Center of Excellence.

Your opportunity

The Senior SAP Technical Architect is responsible for designing, governing, and implementing enterprise SAP technology architectures in complex global environments (preferably in the Luxury and/or Retail sectors), as well as in digital transformation programs. The role ensures the availability, security, scalability, performance, and continuous evolution of on-premises and cloud SAP platforms. The successful candidate leads strategic SAP initiatives, supports S/4HANA and Cloud transformations, and enables the integration of artificial intelligence capabilities into the SAP ecosystem. They work closely with SAP Basis teams, Technology teams, and the Enterprise Architecture team, contributing expertise in SAP Basis operations, architecture, AI, cybersecurity, performance, high availability, and disaster recovery scenarios.

How you will contribute

• SAP architecture: Define the target architecture, design multi-country and multi-cloud SAP solutions, ensure consistency across the SAP landscape, and establish security, availability, and performance standards.
• Transformation programs: Lead S/4HANA Greenfield/Brownfield/Hybrid initiatives, BW/4HANA, Business Data Cloud, BTP, SAP RISE for Private and Public Cloud, as well as carve-outs, M&A, OS/DB migrations, and HANA migrations.
• SAP AI readiness and platform enablement: SAP Business AI, Joule, AI Foundation, and AI services on SAP BTP.
• Technical governance, security, and operational readiness for SAP-related AI use cases.
• Collaborate with AI and Data platform teams to support AI-enhanced business capabilities.
• Cloud and digital platforms: Lead SAP deployments on Azure, AWS, and GCP, particularly high availability (HA), disaster recovery (DR), networking, and security.
• Security and compliance: Ensure compliance with SOX, GDPR, and cybersecurity requirements, and lead technical audits.
• Business continuity: Maintain HA/DR architecture, backup procedures, and disaster recovery tests.

You will work with

• Other architects, bringing technical expertise in integration models between SAP and non-SAP environments.
• Kering Enterprise Architects, to align SAP architecture integration with Kering's overall IT architecture principles.
• Kering Network and Infrastructure teams and the CISO, implementing tools and good practices to secure and integrate SAP platforms into the Kertech IT landscape.

SAP Core Platform; Cloud & BTP Platform; Data Analytics & Data Warehousing; Operations & Lifecycle Management (ALM); global understanding of the SAP landscape; SAP Retail/Omnichannel applications and data replication; UI user experience; Governance, Risk & Security.

Cloud & BTP: Azure, AWS, GCP, SAP BTP, Integration Suite, Datasphere, Cloud Foundry, SAP Analytics Cloud, CPI, SAP Business Data Cloud.

Required skills

Technical expertise: SAP Basis administration, SAP S/4HANA architecture, SAP Cloud architecture, AI Foundation, AI services on SAP BTP, SAP Joule, SAP HANA, ASE, SAP BTP, SUM/DMO, cloud migrations, security, ChaRM, release management, network integration, disaster recovery, and high availability.

Project management: SAP Activate, Agile and Waterfall methods, budget management, stakeholder management, vendor management, risk management, and program leadership.

Behavioral skills: Leadership, executive communication, negotiation, customer focus, complex problem-solving, and multicultural management.

Leadership

This role makes the candidate the technical lead for our SAP Center of Excellence, primarily responsible for architectural governance, roadmaps, and design reviews. The candidate will also manage budget matters, vendor management, and delivery and service implementation.

Who you are

You have a Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT, or an equivalent field. You have at least 10 years of experience as a Senior SAP Technical Architect, with expertise in defining, governing, and implementing enterprise SAP platform architecture, S/4HANA transformations, cloud migrations, SAP AI capabilities, cybersecurity, and SAP Basis operations. SAP Certified Professional and/or SAP Technology Associate certification is preferred. You are proficient in written and spoken English. Italian or French is a plus.
