Blacklane · Berlin

Full-Time

Job description

About the role

As a Working Student in Workplace Experience at Blacklane, you will support our Workplace Experience team in ensuring that our Berlin office runs smoothly and efficiently and reflects our brand’s high quality standards.

By helping with day-to-day operations, collaborating with different teams, and creating a welcoming atmosphere for employees and guests, you will help build a workplace where people feel supported, comfortable, and inspired.

This is a working-student position for 20 hours per week, initially on a six-month fixed-term contract. It is entirely on-site at our Berlin office on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. Your on-site presence is essential to delivering an excellent workplace experience while gaining practical experience alongside your studies.

Your responsibilities and contribution

At Blacklane, we measure success by the positive, tangible change each team member makes. In this role, you will:

Support the smooth daily operation of the Berlin office by helping the team with facilities, service providers, and the overall workplace experience, and making sure everything is ready to use.

Help keep the office organized and presentable so all areas consistently meet Blacklane’s high standards.

Support office-supply and inventory management, from stock checks and preparing and placing orders to basic equipment logistics, so the office remains fully functional and well equipped.

Manage incoming and outgoing mail and parcels, including sorting office mail, preparing shipments, updating the parcel-tracking system, and supporting the digital mailroom in the virtual office.

Help prepare and deliver internal events, meetings, and workshops (for example, room setup, materials, catering, and welcoming attendees) that connect and engage our teams.

Act as an ambassador at reception, warmly welcoming guests, partners, and colleagues and helping them experience Blacklane’s values from the moment they arrive.

About you

You will thrive in this role if you are hands-on, organized, people-oriented, and take pride in making operations run smoothly and spaces look good.

You are currently enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s program (for example, business administration, hospitality management, psychology, human resources, communications, or a comparable field) and have at least several semesters remaining.

You can work 20 hours per week and are willing to be regularly present at our Berlin office.

You have initial experience in an on-site or customer-facing environment, for example through part-time work or an internship in hospitality, food service, events, retail, coworking, clinics, or another service area where organization and attention to detail matter.

You communicate clearly and confidently in English and have at least B1-level German.

You care about people and service and create a warm, professional atmosphere where everyone feels welcome.

You are very careful and detail-oriented, ensuring the office looks and works its best, including in the small details.

You are comfortable with technology and tools such as Google Workspace and are willing to quickly learn additional tools such as Slack or Jira Service Desk.

You live Blacklane’s values of Care, Drive, and Excellence in your work, collaboration, and representation of the company internally and externally.

If you want to actively help shape a strong workplace culture while gaining practical experience for your career, we look forward to your application.
