Job description

Do you want beneficial technologies shaped by your ideas? Whether in mobility solutions, consumer goods, industrial technology, or energy and building technology, you can help improve quality of life around the world. Welcome to Bosch.

Responsibilities

Industrial equipment connectivity and data-platform architecture

  • Plan, architect, and iteratively deliver an industrial equipment-connectivity and data platform, covering equipment data acquisition, protocol adapters, data cleaning, time-series storage, data-service governance, and data-lake/warehouse platforms. Produce architecture proposals, prototypes, product-requirements documents, technical specifications, and delivery roadmaps.
  • Design standardized, reusable, extensible data acquisition for factory OT/IT integration and multiple sources such as PLCs, SCADA, sensors, MES, and equipment registers. Select technology for high-volume industrial time-series processing.
  • Define industrial-data standards, field and coding conventions, and enterprise data governance for AI, production analytics, process optimization, and quality control.

Manufacturing AI-agent architecture and product delivery

  • Architect and productize manufacturing agents for equipment operations, process tuning, fault diagnosis, and quality analysis.
  • Use large or industrial-domain models to design agent perception, reasoning, decisions, tool use, task orchestration, and multi-agent collaboration for automated analysis, autonomous decisions, and closed-loop handling of factory workflows.
  • Build agent products from zero to one, including workflows, knowledge bases, prompt optimization, deployment debugging, and iterative releases; deliver reusable, replicable industrial-agent modules.

Technical leadership and collaboration

  • Lead core code development, proof-of-concept validation, or framework development.
  • Coordinate with business, delivery, and customer teams; clarify needs, define objectives, manage delivery, and solve architecture and product challenges.
  • Track industrial big data, agents, and industrial foundation models and keep the architecture competitive and evolvable.

Qualifications

  • Graduate degree or higher in computer science, software engineering, automation, mathematics, industrial engineering, or a related field.
  • At least three years of industrial Internet product or industrial-data-platform architecture experience. Full lifecycle experience taking an IoT platform and industrial AI agent from zero to one is preferred.
  • Deep knowledge of equipment connectivity and industrial protocols (PLC, Modbus, OPC UA, MQTT, Profinet), time-series databases, data governance, and data-platform architecture; able to independently design an industrial data-acquisition platform.
  • Familiarity with agent principles and frameworks, expert workflow orchestration, tool calling, RAG knowledge bases, and multi-agent collaboration; hands-on manufacturing-agent experience and ability to analyze scenarios, design architecture, and deliver products independently.
  • Deep understanding of factory production, equipment, processes, quality, and maintenance; able to turn business pain points into standard products and practical AI solutions.
  • Strong architecture, product, and project-delivery skills; clear logic, cross-team collaboration, and ability to produce architecture proposals, PRDs, and delivery plans.
  • Smart manufacturing, industrial Internet, or factory digital-transformation experience is preferred, as is industrial AI-platform or SCADA product-architecture experience at a large company.
