Job description
About PASQAL
PASQAL designs and develops Quantum Processing Units (QPUs) and associated software tools. Our innovative technology can address use cases currently beyond the reach of the most powerful supercomputers, including applied industrial challenges and fundamental science. In addition to their exceptional computing power, QPUs are highly energy-efficient and will help significantly reduce the carbon footprint of the high-performance computing industry.
Job description
As PASQAL grows rapidly and scales industrially, we are hiring a Head of Quality Corporate. Reporting to Operations, you will design, deploy, maintain, and improve a global, pragmatic, scalable Quality Management System (QMS). The QMS must secure our customer commitments and support operational efficiency in developing and commercializing our products and services.
You will work closely with operational and support functions — R&D, Product, Engineering, Production, Software Platform, Customer Support, Supply Chain, IT, Information Security, Legal, Finance, and HR — as well as with local quality teams in Canada and existing Design/Production Quality & Methods teams. You will be the quality architect, facilitator, and point of reference, ensuring system-wide consistency without creating unnecessary bureaucracy.
Key challenges of the role
Establish a robust, company-wide QMS aligned with ISO 9001 and compatible with the needs of a deep-tech quantum company.
Make quality a driver of speed, reliability, and scale, rather than a parallel administrative layer.
Measure QMS effectiveness and develop a continuous-improvement approach.
Define a common framework while leaving teams responsible for local execution.
Structure critical processes and their interfaces, controls, indicators, and evidence needed for auditability.
Prepare, obtain, and maintain the certifications required for PASQAL’s industrial and international development.
As part of our rapid growth, we are also recruiting a Head of Quality to strengthen the Operations team. Main responsibilities include:
Build and lead the quality management system: create a clear, robust, scalable QMS aligned with PASQAL’s needs and integrated with existing practices.
Deploy a cross-functional quality approach: support teams and process owners in adopting common standards, effective routines, and continuous improvement.
Lead certifications and audits: implement ISO 9001:2015, coordinate internal and external audits, and track required certifications.
Secure product and operational quality: work with relevant teams to strengthen control of critical activities, associated evidence, and quality priorities.
Develop a quality culture: help establish a pragmatic, accessible, impact-oriented quality approach that supports reliability and collective excellence.
About you
At least 10 years of experience in quality, QMS, compliance, certification, or operational excellence roles.
Proven experience implementing or transforming a quality management system, ideally in an innovative industrial environment.
Proven experience implementing ISO 9001:2015 and managing certification audits.
Ability to balance rigor, pragmatism, and speed of execution.
Excellent communication, cross-functional facilitation, and change-management skills.
Fluent written and spoken English and French in an international environment.
