Job description
Valeo is a global technology company designing breakthrough solutions to reinvent mobility. We are an automotive supplier and partner to automakers and new mobility players worldwide. Our vision is to create greener and safer mobility through solutions focused on intuitive driving and reducing CO2 emissions. We are a leader in our businesses and recognized as one of the world's largest innovative companies.
At Valeo, we build powertrains that are changing how we drive every day. The future of automotive is quiet, efficient, integrated electric systems. At our site in Czechowice-Dziedzice, engineering passion from the R&D team combines with large-scale automated production of high-voltage components. We are growing rapidly and are looking for a Laboratory Analysis and Quality Engineer—someone with strong analytical thinking, curiosity, a desire to understand how equipment works and what causes defects.
Your mission
In short, you will become our e-Mobility laboratory expert. You will examine components, find the causes of failures, and ensure customers receive only reliable solutions.
Analyze our products technically: closely inspect powertrains (eAxles, reducers, HV motors), both those returned from the market and those subjected to extreme validation tests.
Work with modern equipment: use microscopes, electrical and mechanical testers, and climate chambers daily.
Analyze root causes: identify causes of failures using 8D, PDCA, and 5 Why methodologies to ensure the highest quality standards.
Create clear documentation: summarize investigations in clear reports in English.
Participate in QRQC sessions: be part of the rapid-response team that addresses quality challenges as they arise.
Collaborate locally and globally: stay in regular contact with external laboratories and engineering teams around the world.
Support R&D and production: use your knowledge to improve new projects and streamline daily production-line work.
What we expect from you
Education and experience: an engineering or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field, plus 1–2 years of laboratory or automotive-industry experience.
Technical aptitude: comfortably read engineering drawings and electrical schematics.
Analytical thinking and accuracy: care about details, persevere with difficult technical problems, and respond flexibly to change.
Knowledge of quality tools: practical use of 8D, 5 Why, or PDCA-FTA methods.
Practical English: speak and write English well enough to prepare a technical report and talk with an engineer in another country.
Teamwork: build relationships and collaborate to solve problems together.
Additional advantages: experience with electrical testing; knowledge of LabView or Vector CANoe/CANape; SEP certification above 1 kV; or forklift certification (useful for larger items in the lab). Please tell us about these qualifications.
What you gain by joining us
Real impact on e-Mobility: work with next-generation electric powertrains used in cars around the world.
A well-equipped laboratory: modern equipment, climate chambers, and prototyping facilities.
Good conditions and a strong benefits package: employment contract, private medical care (Medicover), life insurance, sports card, and a friendly work environment.
People to learn from: join an international community of experts who share knowledge every day.
