About Event
For one evening, the doors to several imagined worlds will open.
Mr. Pendlum’s Extravaganza is an immersive, multidisciplinary celebration of art, storytelling, music, and the wonderfully strange places from which ideas emerge. The evening will showcase debut original paintings and artwork by multidisciplinary artist Mr. Pendlum (Fernando J. Moguel) alongside the work of fellow artists and world-builders Nicolle Dhimes, Adam Hesse, Miller Quevedo, Angela Corson, and Liana Amaya —each creating at their own unique intersection of disciplines, stories, and universes.
But this is not simply an exhibition of finished work. Throughout the Parador, guests will discover the creative process itself: sketches, notes, materials, tools, experiments, studies, and other artifacts that reveal how an idea travels from imagination into the physical world.
And you are not merely a guest—you are an Explorer. Upon arrival, each Explorer will receive an Explorer’s Guide, leading you through the evening with discoveries, prompts, and a series of optional tasks. Complete them all, and you’ll earn a special-edition memento created exclusively for the Extravaganza.
The journey will also include a live presentation of unreleased and never-before-performed original songs by Fernando JM (Mr. Pendlum), accompanied by cellist David Dietz and multi-percussionist Bensen Kwan.
All of this unfolds within the magisterial Parador, a vintage oasis tucked away in the middle of Houston. Expect an evening of art, music, exploration, conversation, and connection—designed to leave you with your sense of wonder a little more awake than when you arrived.
