About Event
Some of you were at the Café Cursor evenings in Milano. This one is a bit different.
ctrlalt.museum is a retro computing museum in Pavia run by comPVter, a nonprofit I've been involved with for years. They have a robotic dog, a driving simulator, a flight simulator, and a few drones, and they're letting us hack on them for two days, actual access, not a demo behind a rope.
The brief: pick a piece of hardware, an API, connect it to Grok (the API, Grok Voice, or the bot framework), and by Thursday afternoon show us something that didn't work when you started.
Nick Miller from the SpaceXAI team joins us on Thursday. He'll open the day with a talk on the models and the API, then stay with you through the build to help with whatever you're stuck on.
Museum staff will handle the hardware side and support builders.
Schedule
Wednesday, November 4
9:00 — kick-off, hardware tour, find a team, start building
18:00 — Ctrl+Alt Ecosystem presentation
Hackathon continues through all night (the Museum will stay open to participants)
Thursday, November 5
9:00 — talk by the SpaceXAI: Grok models, API, Grok Voice, Grok Bots
9:00-16:00 — build, with Nick available at the tables
16:00-19:00 — project evaluation and pitches
21:00 — awards ceremony
Practical stuff
Teams of 1 to 4. Laptop required. API credits provided.
Pavia is about 25 min by train from Milano Rogoredo. The museum is 200m from the station.
Startup Weekend Milano–Pavia starts the morning after the awards, Nov 6, and runs through the 8th. If you're in for that, you can do both.
Capacity is capped at 100. Registration is by approval.
