About Event
An in-person session for women business owners on how to use AI in day-to-day work.
Using AI is a bit like speaking a foreign language. Some people pick it up naturally, and others feel an invisible barrier they are hesitant to cross... In reality, this barrier is very thin! I will prove it to you in this practical, hands-on session.
You don’t need a technical background. Just bring your laptop! Any woman in business is welcome.
What we’ll cover
How AI tools work, in plain language, and how to use AI for everyday work.
Who’s teaching
I’m Alyona Medelyan. I discovered AI in 1998 as a student. I have specialized in this field for over 25 years. I have a PhD in AI from the University of Waikato, funded by Google. I’m the co-founder and CEO of Thematic, a global software company that helps large enterprises understand and act on customer feedback. We went through Y Combinator in 2017. I’ve taught AI before, run hands-on lectures and webinars for professional communities. (More on my page http://www.medelyan.com )
Women business owners inspire me, and I’m passionate about helping women succeed in their professional lives.
The event is free, but Koha is appreciated to pay for the venue, the unique Devonport space Node ( https://node.org.nz/ )
